This Privacy Policy explains how Weclay Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and processes personal information in connection with our website, applications, and the Owllo decentralized AI services we provide (collectively, the "Services").
Owllo is committed to Privacy by Design. Unlike traditional centralized AI platforms, our architecture is built to prioritize localized computing and user-controlled data.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect information through three primary channels: information you provide, information collected automatically, and information from third-party sources.
A. Information You Provide to Us
Account & Identity Data: Name, email address, username, and authentication credentials used for account verification and access.
Commercial & Transaction Data: Purchase history within the Owllet marketplace and payment information. Payments are processed via PCI-DSS compliant partners (e.g., Stripe, PayPal). We do not store full financial numbers.
User-Generated Content (Shared): AI model configurations, fine-tuning parameters, and datasets that you explicitly choose to upload or promote on the Owllet platform.
Communications: Records of your inquiries, feedback, or support requests sent to our legal or support teams.
B. Information Collected Automatically
Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the Services, including access times, features used, and performance metrics of shared models.
Technical & Device Data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and unique device identifiers.
Hardware Telemetry (Optional): To optimize local AI execution, we may collect anonymized data regarding GPU, CPU, and RAM utilization during active sessions. You may opt-out of this collection through the Services settings.
C. Information from Third-Party Sources
Third-Party Repositories and Services: Data obtained through integrations with third-party repositories and services, subject to your actions and the terms of those providers.
Messaging Integrations: Information from third-party APIs (e.g., Telegram, Discord) when you link them to your Private AI Services.
2. THE "LOCAL-FIRST" DATA PRINCIPLE
A fundamental distinction of Owllo is our commitment to local data sovereignty.
Local Processing: By default, your interactions with AI models, including prompts and generated outputs, occur locally on your hardware.
Access Policy: We do not routinely monitor or access private queries or local data processed within your non-shared environment.
User-Initiated Sync: We only receive your model data if you intentionally initiate a "Share" or "Sync" action to the Owllet marketplace or cloud backup.
3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use your personal information for the following purposes:
To Provide Services: Operating the Services, managing accounts, and facilitating the Owllet marketplace.
To Improve Performance: Analyzing anonymized usage trends and shared feedback to refine our fine-tuning tools and system integrity.
To Facilitate Incentives: Managing the exchange of virtual assets and rewards between users.
For Security & Compliance: Detecting and preventing fraud, unauthorized access, or violations of our Terms of Service (EULA).
4. DISCLOSURE AND SHARING OF DATA
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose information only as follows:
Between Users: When you share a model, your username and model metadata are visible to other users.
Service Providers: We share data with trusted vendors (e.g., cloud hosting, payment processors) who assist in our operations under contractual obligations to protect your data.
Legal & Safety: To comply with legal obligations (e.g., Delaware state law) or to protect the safety and rights of Weclay Inc. and our users.
Corporate Transactions: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
5. AI MODEL TRAINING AND DATA USAGE
In alignment with AI safety standards:
Private Data: We DO NOT use your private prompts or local model outputs to train our proprietary base models without your separate, explicit consent.
Public/Shared Data: Data explicitly shared to the Owllet marketplace may be analyzed in an aggregated and de-identified form to improve the overall ecosystem.
6. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES
Regardless of your location, we provide tools to manage your privacy:
Access, Correction & Deletion: You have the right to access, correct, or request the permanent deletion of your account and its associated data.
Opt-Out of Telemetry: You may disable the collection of optional hardware telemetry through the Services settings.
California Resident Rights: If you are a resident of California, please refer to our separate [California Privacy Notice] for detailed information on your specific rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to non-discrimination.
7. DATA SECURITY AND RETENTION
Security: We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. However, you are responsible for the security of your local environment.
Retention: We retain data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy (e.g., while the account is active or for tax compliance). Data is deleted or anonymized when no longer necessary.
8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Our Services are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it immediately.
